Session Looks Like

Minutes 1–10

Prime, Move & Mobilise

Dynamic warm-up, joint mobility and activation work to prepare the body for training. We focus on moving well first, so you can train with intensity without sacrificing control.

Minutes 10–25

Strength & Skill Block

Coach-led strength work using functional movements, bodyweight training and resistance-based exercises. Technique, posture and progression are built into the session so every level has a clear path forward.

Minutes 25–45

The Engine Room

The main conditioning block: timed intervals, rotating stations, bag work, kettlebells, battle ropes, shuttle runs and hybrid cardio-strength challenges. It is scalable, high-energy and designed to build real work capacity.

Minutes 45–60

Recover, Stretch & Reset

Guided flexibility, breathing and recovery work to bring the body down, improve mobility and help you stay consistent from week to week.

Sendai's Group Fitness (Core Training) program is a high-energy, coach-led training system built around functional strength, conditioning, HIIT, mobility, bag work and endurance. Inspired by the best elements of modern functional fitness, circuit training and race-style conditioning, every session is structured, purposeful, challenging and scalable to all fitness levels.

Whether you are brand new to fitness or already training regularly, these adult-only sessions give you a focused, motivating environment where you can train hard, move well and improve week by week. The program is currently available at our Carrum Downs dojo only, using a blend of strength stations, timed intervals, cardio conditioning, combat-fitness drills and mobility work to build a stronger, fitter and more capable body.

Certificate III & IV in Fitness — Registered Personal Trainer

Sensei Jean Vega is a fully qualified Personal Trainer holding both a Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness. He brings the same discipline, structure and attention to detail that defines his martial arts career to every Group Fitness session. With decades of experience coaching people of all levels and abilities, he designs each class to challenge you appropriately — pushing you forward while keeping the training safe, purposeful and achievable.
